Heroes and Lionhearts

This story book was selected by the International Youth Library in Germany for inclusion in its White Ravens list of noteworthy books (1997). Some 10 000 new books from 43 countries competed for this honour. Only 275 were chosen.
In the same year, Heroes and Lionhearts was also selected as best children's non-fiction book of the year (English category) in the South African Bookchat Awards and was placed on the Honours List of the South African Childrens' Book Forum.
